Test Drive II: The Duel is an exhilarating racing game developed by Distinctive Software and published by Accolade in 1989. It's the second installment in the Test Drive series, taking the thrill of racing to a new level with varied scenic routes and the challenge of evading police pursuits. This game not only tests your speed but your strategic skills as you decide when to stop for gas or keep racing, risking running out of fuel. The player begins with five lives, losing one each time they crash or run out of gas. However, completing a level without crashing or running out of gas earns a bonus life, adding another layer of strategy to the gameplay. Each level is unique, featuring obstacles such as bridges, cliffs, and tunnels. The game also includes a radar detector, adding another exciting element to gameplay as players try to outsmart the police cars scattered throughout each course.
