This game was released for the Family Computer (Famicom) in 1984, and subsequently for the Nintendo VS. System as Vs. Tennis. This retro game was a hit in Japanese and American arcades, ranking as the sixth top-performing arcade game of 1984 in the United States. Tennis was one of the 17 initial games launched for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in North America and Europe. The game was later re-released for the Game Boy as a launch game in North America. Enjoy competitive or cooperative gameplay in single-player or two-player modes. The game features five levels of difficulty against a computerized opponent. The game was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto, Kenji Nakajima and Masayuki Uemura.
