Description
"Dive into the past with Kings of the Beach, the legendary beach volleyball game released by Electronic Arts in 1988. This retro gaming gem allows players to step into the shoes of real-life volleyball legends Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos. The game offers three modes of play: practice, match play, and tournament. In tournament mode, players face a series of increasingly difficult opponents across five unique beaches, including San Diego, Chicago, Waikiki, Rio de Janeiro, and Australia. With intuitive gameplay controls, players command three actions: bump, set, and block/spike. The game also spices up the action with cameo appearances from notorious characters from other EA games, like Hard Hat Mack and Lester. The cherry on top? The ability to argue calls with the referee, adding a unique strategic layer to this classic volleyball game.
Game Controls
For the console version, gameplay is controlled with a directional pad and two buttons. In the PC version, players can control three actions: bump, set, and block/spike. Diving for the ball happens automatically.
