Description

Embark on a thrilling ride with Excitebike, a motocross racing video game initially launched by Nintendo in 1984. As the pioneer of the Excite series, this game offers a unique blend of speed, strategy, and skill, setting the foundation for its successors like Excitebike 64 and Excitebots: Trick Racing. Navigate through diverse tracks, dodge obstacles, and strive to set new records. Feel the adrenaline rush as you accelerate using the A and B buttons, but watch out for your bike's temperature! Overheating will cause a temporary halt, but can be quickly cooled down by driving over an arrow. Test your creativity in Design Mode, crafting your own challenging tracks. Whether you're a solo player or racing against computer-assisted riders, Excitebike guarantees an exhilarating gaming experience.

Game Controls

Use the Y-axis of the directional pad to control the motorcycle's position and the A and B buttons for acceleration. The X-axis modifies the bike's pitch, and pushing up or down turns the handlebars. When knocked off the bike, tap A and B repeatedly to return to the race. Use the select button to choose your game type and start button to begin or pause your game.
